The department has a wide range of facilities for educational as well as for research purposes. Some of them are listed below :
■ A S-band Doppler weather radar
■ A VHF radar
■ Integrated Sounding System (ISS)
■ Portable Automated Mesonet (PAM)
■ Boundary layer observing tower
■ Surface flux measurement system
■ Air quality detection and atmospheric chemical analysis system
■ Satellite data acquisition system
■ NCU weather observatory
In addition, the department has very strong computer facilities, which include a four-node IBM 390 computer, several PC-clusters, as well as numerous workstations and PCs.
