2023 MPAS-A and MPAS-JEDI Tutorials and Workshop

The Model for Prediction Across Scales - Atmosphere (MPAS-A), developed by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), is a non-hydrostatic global and regional model. MPAS-JEDI is a data assimilation system for the MPAS-A model, based upon the Joint Effort for Data assimilation Integration (JEDI) framework. 

National Central University (NCU), Central Weather Administration (CWA), and NCAR will be hosting MPAS-A and MPAS-JEDI tutorials and a Workshop in October 2023. The tutorials will take place at NCU on 23-26 October, and the workshop at CWA on 27 October. 

This is a great opportunity to learn the advanced MPAS-A and MPAS-JEDI systems. Seats are limited for the tutorials. Please register ASAP. 

Tutorials and Workshop take place at : 

MPAS-A Tutorial: 2.5 days, October 23-25, Room 713, 7F, Science Building 2, National Central University, Zhongli. 

MPAS-JEDI Tutorial: 1.5 days, October 25-26, Room 713, 7F, Science Building 2, National Central University, Zhongli. 

MPAS-A and MPAS-JEDI Workshop: Room 310, 3F, Central Weather Administration, Taipei. 

Important Dates： 

Registration opens: 14, August 2023 

Last day to register: 30, September 2023 

Registration payments due: 6, October 2023 

Registration fees： $3500TWD (The fee remains the same whether you participate in one or both tutorial sessions, and it is utilized to support NCHC’s Computing Resources.) 

Limit on the number of participants： The maximum of 50 participants are allowed.
