朴春星老師研究介紹
Prof. Hien X. Bui and her research interest

Hien received her B.S. in Physics from the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City in 2010 and a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from National Central University (NCU) and Academia Sinica in Taiwan in 2016. Hien was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the NCU in 2017 and at Colorado State University (USA) from 2018-2020. She was then an Assistant Research Fellow at the IBS Center for Climate Physics (South Korea) in 2021, and a Research Fellow at Monash University (Australia) from 2022-2024. Hien joined the NCU Department of Atmospheric Sciences as an Assistant Professor in February 2025.

Hien studies climate dynamics in both current and future climates by analyzing a wide range of data from observations and reanalysis data to climate models’ output and by running climate models. Hien’s areas of interest include the impacts of climate change on extreme events, including wildfires and floods. She also seeks to understand the interaction between land surface, atmosphere, and ocean and explore the complexities of interaction between the tropical and extratropical regions. She also has many exciting research and teaching plans related to such topics.
